Shareholder Yield as an approach to identifying outperforming companies seeks to identify high quality management teams. It focusses on companies that has attractive yields and consider the 'buyback' programs that management teams are engaged with. Research shows that many companies who are buying back their shares are sending a message to the market that they feel the company is undervalued.
